How to Get Reversed Letters for Your T-Shirt Transfers

In our recent home DIY bling fashion articles, we have used the reversed printing setting for preparing the custom image. And many sweet readers asked me how to get a reversed image since their printers didn't have the reversed printing function.

Well, it is true that not all kinds of printers have this function. As far as I know, there are several brands who have reversed printing in some of their types, such as HP and Epson.

But never mind, we can make our selected design be reversed by ourselves just simply in Microsoft Word, instead of buying such a printer.

Let's see how we can achieve that.

Preparation:

Decide the letters you like to print for your T-Shirt. Except for letters, it can also be any picture you want to use, a picture from your favorite movie or cartoon, or a photo of your memorable day.

Get ready a PC that has Microsoft Word program, of course. Actually, it doesn't have to be Microsoft Word, Microsoft Paint, WPS, PPT,

Iron on transfer paper.

Printer. Just ordinary one that can use iron on transfer paper is enough.

T-Shirt that you want to have the letter design on.

Iron.



Instructions:

After deciding what letters you would like to use in designing your custom T-shirt, open the Microsoft Word and type them out.

Edit the letters as you wish: choose your favorite fonts, sizes, colors and any other attributes you want your letters to look like.

After finishing with primary designing, save them and then copy them to a new page for the reversing steps.

When you are pasting the letters, click the "paste special" option and choose the "image format". And the letters will come out as an image. As it is an image now, we can edit it with the image editor and spin the letters image in flip horizon.

Print out the finished reversed image onto the iron-on transfer paper. The text will be backward and will be read in the correct order in a mirror.

Press the iron-on letter transfer onto the T-shirt with the pre-heated iron. After finishing the ironing and cooling for minutes, peel off the transfer paper and the letters will be sticky to the shirt firmly.



Tips & Warnings:

Always remember to save steps during your editing in the program you use. In our case, it is Microsoft Word.

As the instruction is to create a letter design, if you have already had your ideal image or photo and only need it to be reversed, just start from Step 4 to make one.



Recommendation:

Sometimes we don't have enough tools to make our own design or we want some special materials for the design, we may not be able to create them at home. Then buy it! Here we can choose a bling rhinestone transfer design to make your custom T-shirt.
